We welcome the prospect of our articles and visual content finding a new home. We ask that you familiarise yourself with our syndication rules before sending a request. 

If you wish to republish Kumēia articles, you may do so only under the following conditions:

• Articles may only be republished after entering into an agreement with us (see below). Up to 250 words may be republished for the purpose of critique or analysis.
• Images (photographs and illustrations) may not be reused unless they hold a visible Kumēia mark.

One-time republication arrangements:

Use the ‘Syndicate Article’ button on the Article you wish to republish. You will then be directed to this page. Contact our Executive Editor Alastair Oates at republishing@kumeia.org. He will send you instructions on how to agree to our syndication terms.

By agreeing to the terms and conditions listed below you will enter into an agreement with Kumēia to republish the selected Article.

Terms and Conditions 

1. Republication must not take place until you have agreed to these Terms and Conditions and received an agreement by email.
2. Republication is limited to Article text and does not include accompanying illustrations or photographs originally published by Kumēia.
3. Kumēia will charge a flat fee of 200 CHF for this republication. 
4. Payment is to be received by Kumēia within 21 days of receipt of invoice.
5. Kumēia is to be notified in advance of the date of publication via email to Alastair Oates republishing@kumeia.org
6. The Article must be published in full exactly as it appears on the Kumēia website, with no alterations, condensing or editing apart from house style, unless by prior arrangement with our republishing coordinator.
7. Kumēia must be credited at the end of the republished Article in the following format: This essay was originally published in Kumēia (the word Kumēia to be hyperlinked to Kumēia’s homepage if online, or in print to be followed by Kumēia’s homepage address ie kumeia.org).

Multiple essay republication arrangements:

Kumēia offers multiple article packages at a discounted rate. Requests to republish more than one Kumēia article or to have an ongoing arrangement to republish Kumēia articles will be considered and negotiated on a case-by-case basis. In the event of such an agreement, Kumēia reserves the right to revoke the agreement without notice if the agreement is considered by Kumēia to be harmful to its interests and reputation.

Use of articles in an educational setting: 

Kumēia articles may be used in an educational setting so long as they follow the provisions of permitted uses. For example, linking to or printing essays for use in a lesson is permissible, whereas including an article in a course pack requires entering into an agreement with Kumēia and paying the associated syndication fee.
